About Multnomah Body Piercing in Gresham
What to Bring Checklist
- Will it hurt?
- The actual process is painless; you’ll be in control throughout.
- How old do I need to be to get pierced alone?
- You must be 18 years or older to get a piercing on your own. Adults under 21 may require parental consent and supervision.
- What should I eat before getting pierced?
- Eat a full meal 2-3 hours before the appointment; low blood sugar can cause fainting, so avoid alcohol beforehand.
- Can I bring a friend?
- A walk-in friend is welcome for moral support but not mandatory. If you’d like someone to accompany you, we encourage bringing a buddy who can assist during your visit and provide encouragement throughout the process.
- How long does getting a piercing actually take?
- The actual piercings themselves only last 2-3 seconds. The entire appointment takes longer as it involves consultation, selection of jewelry, and waiting for healing instructions to be provided by your piercer.
- Should I get piercing guns or needles?
- We never use guns; we always have a needle ready. Guns are not used in professional settings due to risk of injury and sterilization concerns.
- Can I get multiple piercings in one visit?
- No, at Multnomah Body Piercing, we only offer single piercings per session. We do support walk-ins who have appointments scheduled with us for future visits.
- What if I feel faint or pass out?
- Stay calm and sit down immediately to stabilize your heart rate. If you’re still lightheaded, we recommend having a friend assist you until the feeling subsides. If aftercare instructions indicate it’s necessary, contact us for further guidance.
